The mechanic had a dream
that his pockets were filled
with holy oil
and that
the holy grail
was stuck to his garage floor
He sat about
wiping his hands
with religious fervour
on oily rags,
rubbing and rubbing
till his palms were bloody
later (much later)
they hung his body
from a cross of spanners,
laughed -
left him at the crossroads
with the tractors
